“COMICAVE™ at Dubai Outlet Mall to Participate in Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) with Sandbox Swapmeet

Dubai, UAE – COMICAVE™, the world’s largest comics and collectibles superstore at Dubai Outlet Mall, is excited to announce its participation in Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) in addition to hosting Vol. 3 of Sandbox Swapmeet, UAE’s premier community meetup. The global event will take place on Saturday, 6th May , 2023, at the COMICAVE™ store in Dubai Outlet Mall, Dubai, UAE to promote pop culture and encourage reading in line with UAE’s drive towards literature advocacy.

As part of this international event, COMICAVE™ will be giving away free special release comics from top publishers such as Marvel, Valiant, Boom! Studios, Archie Comics, Titan Comics, Kodansha, Viz Media, and more, exclusively on this day.

In addition to the free comics, COMICAVE™ will also host three international comic artists, Marco Santucci, Maria Laura Sanapo, and Des Taylor, who have worked for publishers such as Marvel, DC, Dynamite, and Titan Comics. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the artists, get their comics signed, and even commission original artwork. They will be joined by local artists such as Sachi Ediriweera, Leroy Fernandes and the team of Wayl, among other local talents whom the fans can interact with personally.

The event has grown organically from a small group of enthusiasts to a multi-national celebration of popular culture, not limited to just superheroes and anime/manga.

This year’s edition will feature several activations, including a Magic The Gathering Card Game Tournament, a Pokemon Pack Unboxing Raffle, a Tamiya Race Car Tournament, a Hot Wheels Gravity Race Competition, and hourly prize raffles from the Swapmeet and Community teams. Fans can also participate in cosplay activities and photo ops.

Saudi Arabia: Hosted by the Royal Commission in Jubail Industrial City, The Asset Integrity and Process Safety Conference & Exhibition – KSA Edition, concludes at the King Abdullah Cultural Center in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The conference dealt with the main issues related to extending the life of assets and improving maintenance strategies, which will improve the integrity and reliability of assets while maintaining production capacity and reducing operational cost.

Eng. Abdullah bin Mahmoud Kashgari inaugurated the conference on behalf of the CEO of the Royal Commission in Jubail, Dr. Ahmed bin Zaid Al-Hussein. More than 500 participants from experts and specialists in the energy and resources sector participated in the conference, including asset managers, engineers, HSE professionals, and maintenance experts.
